I am in the process of updating the tool with some additional functionality. I plan on having this update available by the Esri Forestry Conference in May. In the mean time, the current tool works in ArcGIS 10.1 without any modifications. If you would like to get a copy, send me an e-mail at tclark@esri.com

Ciaran, currently there is not an option for batch processing. The tool requires a set of selected stands in ArcMap to process the cruise points. The tool does process very quickly so you could create points for many selected stand polygons in one process.
