00:01Up until this point in the morning, we've been showing you things that you can do today.
00:05You can either do them as part of the prerelease of 10.1 or one of the downloaded SDKs from the website.
00:11What I want to do now is just take a moment to look a little bit into the future.
00:17And one of the reasons that's important is you're developers.
00:20Well, I'm a developer; I do like always showing stuff that's coming in the future...
00:24...but it's important that you can align your development efforts with ours.
00:28So I think it is important you get a glimpse of what we're working on.
00:32It's a very fast-paced development effort at Esri for the Runtime, and our architecture allows us to go off cycle.
00:39So we do have a release synced up with 10.1, but after that, we'll probably have another release in maybe four months...
00:45...five months after 10.1.
00:47The development work that we are currently working on, geocoding and networking.
00:51Now geocoding and networking's available in the desktop platforms.
00:55What I'm talking about here is geocoding and networking on your mobile device, disconnected from the network.
01:03Synchronization framework to support these in-field editing scenarios; that'll be across all the platforms.
01:113D visualization on your Android device, on your iOS phone, on your Windows box.
01:17They're all coming from the new C++ core.
01:21And some spatial analyst capabilities like line-of-sight viewshed, they'll be coming into the Runtime.
01:26So that's feature functions. What about applications?
01:30Well, the very important initiative that we have is configurable applications.
01:36Now these applications, because they're going to be configured by end users...
01:40...we think that our end users and your end users will be much more productive in building and supporting their workflows.
01:46They'll configure them with maps and data, of course, but they'll configure them with functionality.
01:52And the functionality's configured with widgets, and you add a widget to your application...
01:56...you tweak a couple of settings, and then you have a custom app without writing any code at all.
02:01You as developers will be able to extend the widget framework using tools within the SDK...
02:07...and deploy these widgets to your end users.
